SCI Recordings is proud to be involved with a brand new video game – Rhythm Destruction. The game, still in development, is a new twist on music-based video games. Rhythm Destruction is a “top down shooter” where you destroy enemies with timed button presses to the beat of the music that features online leader boards as well as a ton of unlockables. “Where Can I Get SCI Songs?”

We frequently see the above question (or some variant) as we travel the web in forums, community sites, etc. SCI Recordings has an ever-growing number of retail and distributor partners all over the web that offer our music for sale. The main source for all things SCI of course, is the SCI Recordings website and we offer all of our music for sale here in the SCI Recordings Store as 320K, DRM-free MP3’s. On that topic, we are also asked sometimes if you need to have a PayPal account to order. The answer is NO. While we use PayPal as our payment proccessor, you may use your PayPal account or just use any of your credit or debit cards as well. Pump Jump! Korea

We just stumbled across some photos of a Pump It Up Jump! public beta test machine in Korea. Interesting that the machine is different than the USA beta machine in that it has bars, a “bobble head” thing and seems to have additional speakers. No other information at this time – just thought that you would all find it interesting…..

A brand new pack was just released for StepMania entitled ITG Rebirth. The pack is an homage to the original ITG series of dancing games, featuring a variety of classic ITG tunes from ITG 1, 2, and the ill-fated 3, as well as some new songs to push the envelope forward. SCI Recordings is happy to be a part of this project due to our long standing relationship with the machine dance community.

SCI Recordings Website – Major Update

SCI Recordings is happy to announce that we have totally updated our website. The new improved version offers several enhancements including new features, functions, interactivity, content and a streamlined interface. The biggest changes were made to the “backend” of our site, which allows us to offer all of the new cool stuff. While still a “work in progress”, we are confident that you will appreciate and enjoy the new enhancements.

Yay!  – Finally….. We have wanted to implement this feature for a while. You can now comment on any article, interacting with us and others on a variety of topics. We feel that this is more effective and streamlined than creating a forum. Just click “write comment” and let us and everyone else know what you think!

Artist Pages
We have added a drop down menu for the artist pages as well as quick links on the main artist page. Additionally, you are now able to expand or contract any artist Bio – so you can check out just what you want to or “expand all” and see everything at once.

Links
We have completely redone the links page. We have added links for a large variety of subjects, including general electronic music, machine dance, the gear zone and even links to tons of free music making tools. It is our hope that this will become a “portal” and valuable resorce for everyone. Please check out some of the cool sites on the links page and let us know if we are missing something. If you know of a site that would be cool to add to our links database, let us know too……

We are currently developing several more features to the SCI Recordings website. One of the new features in developement is a “Partners” (log In) section with access to graphics, riders, contracts, etc. Another is a Media section with a gallery, desktop wallpapers, ringtones, etc.  We have a lot of options with our new platform……What would you like to see? Do you want to be able to write your own articles…?  Just let us know……

11 SCI Recording’s Songs featured in Pump Jump!

SCI Recordings is proud to have contributed 11 songs to the new arcade game Pump It Up Jump. The game, which builds on the successful Pump It Up franchise, has been developed for younger players and is being targeted to popular family destinations in the USA and abroad. Pump Jump features a smaller “kid friendly” interface, smaller dance pads and step charts designed so that younger players can enjoy the many bennefits of machine dancing games – it even has a karaoke function so the entire family can get involved in the fun! SCI Recordings had a blast working on this project, producing several new childrens songs as well as making special mixes of some popular songs from our existing catalog. Also, as many of you have apparently recognized, SCI Guys is really Oscillator X – we just wanted to use a different name for our “childrens music” (not that it is a huge stretch from some of the other things we do…. ).
