New Oscillator X Album Almost Done

The brand new Oscillator X album, tentatively titled “Silicon Samurai” is just about finished. So far, 10 new original songs, 1 cover and 4 remixes have been completed. The expected release date is sometime in mid-April. We are still busy recording songs for the album and as soon as we have a final tracklist and a firm release date, we will let you know. SCI will most likely offer a select number pre-release (signed and numbered) limited edition copies as well. You can preview some of the new tracks HERE.

New Oscillator X Single – Japanese Girlfriend

SCI Recordings is proud to release Japanese Girlfriend, the brand new single from Oscillator X. Within hours of it’s release, the song has been flying out of the SCI Recordings Store and has had a licencing request. Japanese Girlfriend is one of the final batch of songs being recorded for Oscillator X’s second CD, scheduled for a March, 2010 release and features additional backing vocals by former Mendenhall vocalist/ pianist Jeff Haines. Yet Another New Oscillator X Song

John and Kyle have been VERY busy lately (and, well… Playmaker too). The results of thier combined labors have resulted in a slew of new Oscillator X songs lately, including the latest – Together With You.  This new song showcases the more upbeat pop side of Oscillator X, with both John and Kyle sharing vocal duties. Together With You is available now for listening and purchase in the SCI Recordings Store. Also, our friend Mitch from the excellent Bubblegumdancer.com website has started a forum thread about the song, so head on over and voice your opinion on Together With You.

Two Brand New Oscillator X Songs

SCI Recordings is excited to announce the release of not one, but TWO brand new Oscillator X songs! The first song, Never Been In Love, is bringing back that early 90’s club sound, but with a 21st century twist. The next track is a remix of Party People (All Night Long), OSX’s second single from the album Techno ~ Techyes. We once again enlisted the help of our favorite Sweedish DJ/Producer Playmaker, to whip up a banging anthemic mix. Both songs are available now for listening and purchase in the SCI Recordings Store. New (ish) Banzai Song Available

This is a bit late, but SCI Recordings is proud to announce a brand new Banzai song, Land Of The Lost, available now for listening and purchase in the SCI Recordings Store. The song has actually been available for about a month, but due to our busy schedules and traveling, was not officially announced. Fans of Banzai have been asking for some new songs for a while now, and we are happy to oblige. Enjoy!

New When Machines Dream Song – End Of Line

SCI Recordings is pleased to release a new song from When Machines Dream. The song, entitled End Of Line is actually a complete re-recording of a When Machines Dream song (of the same name) from 2005. The original version was featured in the extreme mountain biking DVD Seat Up Productions. End of Line is available for listening or purchase now in the SCI Store.

New When Machines Dream Release

SCI Recordings is excited to release a brand new When Machines Dream song, Prognosis. The song is from the upcoming When Machines Dream CD and features (gasp!) a synthesizer solo. The decision to incorperate a synth solo was inspired by a recent Keytar purchase and a dare from a friend to try to do it. “I had shown my new vintage Roland Axis keytar to a musician friend of mine and he dared me to totally rock a rippin’ keytar solo – 80’s style. The deal was that I could edit and clean it up, but I had to actually play it realtime. So Prognosis is the result.” says John Mendenhall, who adds, “The Axis does kinda lend itself to that sort of thing (laughs)”. On the subject of a new When Machines Dream CD, the album is (and has been) about 90% done, but has been delayed due to the busy schedule of Oscillator X. Both John and Kyle are hoping to turn more attention to their other musical projects (WMD & KaW respectively) in the last bit of 2009 and early 2010, as well as keeping the Oscillator X machine running full steam ahead. So hopefully we will see a steady stream of new SCI releases for the rest of the year. Prognosis is available in the SCI Recordings Store now, so check it out.

New Oscillator X Remixes On The Way

SCI Recordings has recently commisioned Swedish DJ/Producer Playmaker to remix two songs from the Oscillator X album Techno – Techyes. The songs to be remixed are the first two singles from the album, Dynamo and Party People (All Night Long). Playmaker has done two remixes for SCI in the past,  Style On My Speed Dial (Fashion Mix) and The Neon Underground (Digital Edge Mix). All of these songs & remixes can be heard HERE. Playmaker is on the cutting edge of the current European sound, which compliments Oscillator X music perfectly. Many of you will recognise the name from the Pump It Up Pro songlist. Playmaker songs featured in PIU Pro are Coming Out, Do What You Wanna Do, Nightmooves and Sunshine. We look forward to hearing the new remixes and releasing them for you all to enjoy as well.

New Oscillator X Radio Single Released

The second radio single from Oscillator X’s album Techno ~ Techyes has just been released. The first station to add the new single Party People (All Night Long) is Tacoma’s I-91 FM.  You can check out the 51,000 watt station’s playlist HERE.

Two New Oscillator X Songs Released

Oscillator X has been busy of late, but between lots of live shows, radio promotions and preparing to go to Europe, they have found the time to record two brand new songs! Both songs show the band “stretching out” a bit artistically from some of their past material ( especially “Night On Fire!). Two New Oscillator X Songs Available

The Oscillator X guys have been busy of late – not only playing a string of West Coast shows, but they have also found the time to record / remix two new songs. The first is “Do It My Way” – an emo-house / pop stomper which features Kyle Ward on primary lead vocals. The second is a new breakbeat remix of the song “Shine” (from their “Techno ~ Techyes” album). Oscillator X loved the song & have been wanting to integrate it into their live set, but felt that they needed a more up-tempo version to fit in with the energy of the set. The result is “Shine (Breakz Mix)” which is a really cool re-interpretation of the familiar song. Both songs are available now for preview and purchase.
